Coed Varsity Bowling · RBHS Bowlers Prepare to Face League Champ Dutch Fork

The Gator bowlers squeezed in an extra practice this week at Anchor Lanes in preparation for their upcoming match on Thursday against defending champs, the Dutch Fork Silver Foxes.  Setting the tone for the practice, freshman Sean Pollworth shot a new personal record 279 right out of the gate missing only once the entire game.
Gators Build Team Chemistry

After practice had concluded, the team stuck around the alley to bowl one for fun and build up some team energy and momentum for this week’s match and even got their coach involved.  With pride on the line, great games were shot by all leading to a nice level of confidence rolling into this week’s match.

Dutch Fork has won the high school league almost every year since they started participating in it.  Even with a strong lineup and a strong coach, that could all change this year for the Silver Foxes.  River Bluff has gone 30-0 since the start of the season, keeping a slight lead on Dutch Fork.  This will be the most challenging matchup of the season for both teams and is sure to be a shootout.
Atmosphere during a match can really swing the momentum.  Come be loud and cheer on the Gators and help rattle the Silver Foxes.  Game time is set for 5 p.m. on Thursday February 4th at Anchor Lanes in Irmo.  Admission is free.
