After carefully monitoring the weather situation and consulting with Lexington County and Lexington County Emergency Preparedness officials, Lexington County School District One is canceling school today, Wednesday, Jan. 17, for all students and staff in all attendance areas.
The district is also canceling all meetings and events scheduled to take place at any Lexington District One school, performing arts center, field or other facility, as well as all district programs, athletic practices or events, adult education classes, other school or district-related meetings, events, or extra-curricular activities scheduled for day or evening today, Wednesday, Jan. 17.
District officials will keep parents, staff and students informed through SchoolMessenger Communicate, the district’s telephone calling system.
