Gator Fans,
Welcome to year four of Gator Athletics!! We are so excited to begin the fourth full
year of athletics within an amazing facility and under the leadership of the best
coaching staff in the state. As your principal, I am blessed and honored to serve in
this leadership capacity to see our students excel both in the classroom and on the
athletic fields. Our motto: “Work hard. Get smart. Do good.” is carried within every
aspect of our experience at River Bluff High School. Through innovation, creativity
and collaboration we expect high standards both of our students and ourselves. As
academics, the arts and athletics connect, we anticipate building from the strong
foundation set last year, leading into a fantastic legacy of hard work, sportsmanship
and excellence.
Last year we capitalized on a strong momentum from the previous year with
excellence in athletics including multiple region championships, state and national
player of the year, playoff births, and a team state championship in Men’s Soccer and
an individual state champion in Track and Field. We sent 25 seniors on to collegiate
experiences in athletics as well signing national letters of intent. This year too will
surely shed light to many more firsts as we enter competitive play in Class 5A. We
are thrilled to have a strong returning class of athletes including a strong senior
class. We also welcome a few new coaches to our department who bring with them
great experience and character. We appreciate your support and encouragement of
all athletes and coaches this year.
As we designed the facility, learning and competing experiences for students, it was
done so with careful attention and a desire to create an experience unlike any other
in a public school setting. In doing so, we anxiously anticipate watching the
competitions of our students as they learn from both their triumphs and defeats.
Thank you for partnering with us this year in developing a family culture within
River Bluff and supporting our athletic teams with your presence, your
contributions and your support. Our student athletes thank you for your dedication
and support as well. We hope your experience at River Bluff prompts you to want
more and we excitedly await your return to our campus and athletic venues. As we
strive to show a strong competitive spirit on the field of play, we do so with high
standards of sportsmanship and class.
All the best for a great fall season as we AMPLIFY of vision of Us, We, and RB.
Sincerely,
Dr. Luke Clamp
Principal
