News · Boys Varsity XC finishes 3rd Place at Chapin Home Meet – Breaks Team Average Record

The Boys XC Team has a historical day at the Chapin Home Meet held at Crooked Creek Park. The Varsity Team finished in 3rd Place, only 28 points away from First Place Lexington H.S. and 15 points away from 2nd Place Heathwood Hall. For the first time in RBXC Program History, the Team Average was below 17:00 (16:58.96). Out of 36 Athletes that competed – 22 had Personal Best Times (PR).

The Varsity Gators were led by Seniors Jacob Mangione (16:21, 5th Place) and Chris Conrick (17:00, 12th Place). Sophomore Carlos Lanzagorta (17:07, 15th Place) and Senior Matthew Smith (17:08 (PR), 17th Place) both earned Top 20 Honors. Rounding out the scoring Gators was Sophomore Carter Hammond (17:15, PR,) who earned a Top 25 honor, placing 23rd.

The Boys JV Team continued their dominance, earning the Team Championship. Coby Foy paced the Gators (17:46, PR). The JV Scoring Runners were: Evan Momola (18:34), Cole Eaton (18:34), Luke Bermas (18:54, PR) and Elliot Bausch (19:00).

Next up for the RBXC is Region Championships at Lexington High School.
