Gator starting pitcher Ethan LeBron pitched a seven-inning shutout, allowing only three hits, as River Bluff defeated White Knoll 5-0 on Monday in opening day action of the Forest Acres Classic at AC Flora High School.

In the second inning, River Bluff got their offense started when Walker Mitchell singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

The Gators put up three runs in the third inning. Todd Hudson, Beau Hollins, and Weston Lever all drove in runs in the frame.

LeBron was the winning pitcher for River Bluff. The lefthander lasted seven innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out ten and walking one.

River Bluff scattered ten hits in the game. Hollins and Preston Sansone each had multiple hits for the Gators and Hollins went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead River Bluff in hits.

The Gators are scheduled to play Hammond on Day 2 – Tuesday – at 2 PM.
